Here are trivias on some of our expected contestans for Miss World 2007:
Australia (Caroline Pemberton)
*She was crowned Miss Australia 2007 at Star City, Sydney on April 4, 2007.
It was her second attempt for the crown.
* She is currently studying Psychology at the University of New South Wales,
but taken the year off to promote her chosen charities thatt includes
UNICEF, Father Riey's Youth Off the Streets
and Wakisa Ministries Rape Crisis Centre in Uganda.
Egypt (Ehsan Hatem El Kirdany)
*An English Teacher at the Institute for English Language Sciences
France (Rachel Legrain-Trapani)
*Lives in Saint-Quentin, was elected Miss Aisne, and chosen to represent
the region of Picardie.
*Her first runner-up was Sophie Vouzelaud, the first deaf or hard of
hearing person to ever compete in the finals of a Miss France pageant.
India (Sarah Jane Dias)
*A former Channel V VJ and an actress.
*She appeared in the video of the group INXS's Never Let You Go
from the album Switch.
*During the Femini Miss India contest, the Final Question was
"If you had to convince a rural woman to participate in the Miss India contest,
how would you do it?" Her winning answer was "I would first remind her
that she has every right to such previliges as a Miss India would have.
If she wins she could go back to her village and the improvement she
would bring about would make the achievement of the pageant irreplaceable."
Nepal (Sitashma Chand)
*Won the titles of Miss Personality and Best Wak along the title of Miss Nepal 2007
Philippines (Margaret Wilson)
*Presently working as an MTV VJ and actress.
*She shares the same name as Miss Tanzania in Miss International 2005,
Margareth Wilson, as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives
in New Zealand, Margaret Wilson.
Switzerland (Christa Rigossi)
*She is studying Criminology and Criminal Law at the University of Berne.
*Other than her native Italian, she also speaks fluent German and French and
to some degree, can speak Spanish and English.
*She has a diamond stud in her tooth and a Japanese tattoo down her back.
Venezuela (Claudia Paola Suarez Fernandez)
*A 20-year old student, model, and tennis player.
*Has an Argentinian, Uruguayan, and Spanish background.
